Hurricane Debris Trash Pickup

Dear Millridge Resident:

Due to the 9ftermath of the recent hurricane, everyone has some type of debris for removal. In order to efficiently manage the cleanup process, Harris County is requiring each resident to contact 713-274-3880 in order to arrange debris removal. Harris County will not pick up the community as a single pickup. Debris should be placed curbside, without blocking the roadway or storm drains. Debris collectors will make at least three (3) passes in your area.

There are four(4) categories for separating your debris:

  • Vegetative Debris - leaves (do not put in bags); logs; plants; tree branches
  • Construction & Demolition Debris - building materials; carpet; drywall; furniture; lumber; mattresses; plumbing
  • Appliances & White Goods - air conditioners; dishwashers; freezers; refrigerators; stoves; water heaters; washers/dryers
  • Electronics -computers; radios; stereos; televisions; other devices with a cord
  • NORMAL HOUSEHOLD TRASH - normal household trash and bagged debris of any kind will not be picked up with disaster debris.
  • HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE - household waste (HHW), such as paint (oil-based and latex), automotive
chemicals, batteries, and lawn chemicals. HHW will not be picked up with regular debris piles. Harris County
will notify all residents about HHW collection dates and drop-off locations.

NO PICKUP ZONE - any debris placed from the sidewalk toward your property will not be picked up.

UNSURE WHERE TO PLACE DEBRIS? - If you don't have a sidewalk, ditch, or utility line in front of your house, place debris at the edge of your property before the curb. Use clear trash bags for loose debris.

For more information visit www.eng.hctx.net or call the Debris Hotline at 713-274-3880. If you do not get on the
schedule for debris removal, you will be responsible for removing the debris yourself. Your prompt action in this
matter will help ensure our community is cleared of debris as quickly and efficiently as possible.
